A survey will be mailed to you and we hope that you’ll take a moment to fill it out and return it. We want to know what you think. It’s all a part of making Nolin RECC the best cooperative it can be, but just in case that isn’t enough motivation, Nolin holds a monthly drawing for a $20.00 credit on the winner’s electric bill. You will be eligible for the drawing when you complete the survey and return it. Thinking outside the box.We value education as a way to better the quality of life for our members, and we know that sometimes the best opportunities to learn are outside the box, or more accurately, outside the classroom. Hands-on learning is encouraged by Nolin RECC in our community schools through programs such as the environmental education seminars from East Kentucky Power Cooperative for elementary students. For the older crowd, Nolin RECC selects high school juniors to travel—all expenses paid—to Washington, D.C., to learn more about our federal government. Each year Nolin gives away seven $1,000 scholarships; six to high school seniors and one to an adult who is continuing their education.

MORE THAN A MEET AND GREET
Decision time. Every year, Nolin RECC sponsors an annual meeting to give member-owners an opportunity to meet and discuss issues facing their cooperative. It’s not your standard meet and greet, though. It’s an example of the increased level of community you’ll find at Nolin. For example, you will be given the opportunity to choose the cooperative board of directors and help determine the cooperative’s direction.
