Over the last several months, Nolin has worked with a contractor to clear dead and overgrown vegetation from rights-of-way in the Radcliff Substation area.
Right-of-way maintenance is one of the biggest challenges (and expenses) for an electric utility. While Nolin RECC and our subsidiary Wide Open Utility Service have made significant improvements across our system, we contracted Townsend Tree Service to help in our efforts in this area.
Below is an overview of the work that has now been completed with some “after” photos of the work done.
Radcliff Substation right-of-way work total = 44 miles
- Feeder#2 = 17 miles
- Feeder#3 = 18 miles
- Feeder#4 = 5 miles
- Feeder#5 = 4 miles
